I've got something like 7 of these outfits and i've never considered trying to return any to AG before. I did ask someone at the store if it was ok to the last time i bought a today doll and she said no. She suggested that if i have duplicates to give them to charity or sell them on ebay. But I plan to go to AG soon and it would be nice to return 1 and get a store credit for a new outfit. However, i don't want to lie and say it was a gift. If i tell them that I removed it from the Just Like You doll will they refuse to accept it as a return?

I know that it would cost you in shipping, but you could mail a couple of them back and just select the duplicate item for the reason. Then you are not lying and still are able to return them. I think AG needs to figure out additional options foe people who already have the meet outfit on the today girls. No one want 7 of the same outfit, and it's a waste of money to have to keep them all! Good luck!

Thanks, that's a good idea. If i return them that way it's pretty obvious how i came to have so many duplicate outfits. Going to AG is usually a big event for me and i know that my day would be ruined if i tried to return it there. The last time i went i bought some bath gel that was on sale for 4.00. It rang up at something like 7 and i had to go to customer service to return it. Even though i had just purchased it and it was clearly on sale (big sign said so) it was still an unpleasant experience.

That's funny--I really like the Ready-for-Fun outfit, but I still don't want more than one!
I may return my extra (if I get one) through the mail after all; I don't want a big hassle to spoil my fun at AGPC!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">ROFL yup! I kept my most recent one because they are probably going to retire it, but I've returned 2 and gave another one away as a gift.

I agree; I'd return them through the mail. Returning one in the store wouldn't be a big issue but more than that, it's just so completely obvious. You can return them by mail and request a check or exchange. Just copy the back of a return form or print the one from the site. I've returned three RFF outfits, and doing it through the mail is completely hassle free and worth a couple of collars in shipping.

There's another thread on this board about this very situation (extra meet outfits and books) Meet outfit is worth 26, the Friends Forever book is 6.95. Just bag them all up, fill out the return form indicating that they are duplicates, and send em back! I'v never had any problem with AG doing it this way (I don't think the store is able to accept returns like this). The cool part is that every 3 duplicate meet outfits you return along with the books is enough credit to get another doll, with some lefover credit!
